Chief Financial Officer

About the role

This is a system-building Chief Financial Officer position for an AI-driven industrial trade platform that has scaled to triple-digit-million GMV. You'll own the complete financial architecture and be a core executive team member, designing scalable financial systems that enable growth, M&A, and capital efficiency in a complex, capital-intensive environment.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end financial operating system including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and working capital management
• Design and evolve capital structure across growth phases, combining venture equity, debt, and working capital instruments
• Lead M&A strategy including target evaluation, valuation, structuring, and deal economics
• Integrate financing and acquisition logic into the technology platform's pricing, quoting, and risk assessment
• Manage statutory accounting, audits, and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Build and lead high-performance finance organization including Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Risk teams
• Create financial models for operating plans, scenario analysis, and acquisition evaluations

What you'll need

• Strong background in accounting firms, investment banking, or private equity with transaction services experience
• Hands-on experience in company building or scale-ups with acquisition exposure
• Proven track record across equity, debt, and M&A transactions
• Deep understanding of accounting, controls, and risk frameworks
• Background from Germany, France, or UK with fluent English
• Native or near-native German or French language skills
• Systems thinking mindset with comfort in ambiguous environments

• Experience in working-capital-intensive or transaction-heavy businesses
• Growth equity, infrastructure, or industrials sector experience
