About the role
As a Product Designer at koppla, your work will directly impact how our customers can improve their construction projects with the help of our platform. Your role will be crucial in shaping the product and user experience, ensuring that our tools are not only effective, but also intuitive and visually compelling. This role is about rapid iteration, direct feedback and continuous improvement, all aimed at delivering a product that stands out through quality in the fast-paced tech landscape.
What you'll do
- Collaborate closely with engineers and PMs to design solutions in rapid iteration cycles, sharing early and aligning daily while balancing user value with business and technical constraints.
- Work in project teams where the constellation changes from project to project, moving fast and independently as the sole designer alongside engineers and a PM.
- Design and deliver impactful product features, owning the process from ideation to final handoff, and help create a culture where anyone feels comfortable pitching product and UI ideas.
- Use and contribute to our design system — from iconography to colors, tokens, and components — ensuring our UI is built as a cohesive system.
- Develop a deep understanding of the construction domain and our customers' needs, incorporating a user-centered perspective into everything we ship.
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools and AI — proactively bringing new ideas to the team.
What you'll need
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing digital products for desktop platforms, ideally browser-based.
- Comfortable taking ownership in ambiguity — uncertainty and the pace of a fast-moving product team motivate you.
- You love working on the complex UX/UI of a B2B SaaS product, and sweating the details.
- You prefer working in the open, and default to sharing early and often.
- Able to balance excellent visual and interaction design skills with a pragmatic approach to delivering user value under startup speed.
- Proficient in Figma, and experienced with systematised design libraries to create high-quality product designs.
- Able to work under time constraints, self-manage, and take ownership from day one.
- Fluent in English, with at least B1-level German.
Nice to have
- Experience designing for B2B SaaS applications, construction industry, or other complex user needs.
What they offer
- Tax-optimized equity grants (25-35% of base salary).
- 28 days PTO, flexible working hours, workation, and hybrid setup.
- Dog-friendly Berlin office with free lunch, beverages, snacks, and a home office budget.
- Annual personal training budget of €1,500.
- Company-supported pension scheme (BAV, 30% contribution) and Urban Sports Club membership.
