About the role
As a Working Student Automation Engineer at Taxfix, you'll help build internal tools, automations, and integrations that enable 400+ employees across Germany, Spain, and the UK to work more effectively. You'll work 15-20 hours per week supporting the Corporate IT team's evolution from service delivery to value creation, collaborating with teams across the organization to turn operational friction into elegant technical solutions.
What you'll do
- Assist in building internal tools, workflows, and integrations that solve real business problems for teams across the organization
- Develop automations by writing scripts and using APIs to build integrations between SaaS tools
- Write robust SQL queries, custom scripts, and implement logic in low-code platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders in People Operations and Talent Acquisition to understand their needs and deliver technical solutions
- Support initiatives to integrate AI technologies into internal processes to improve team productivity
- Create clear documentation to help stakeholders effectively use the systems you help build
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a university degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related technical field
- Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the semester
- Good fundamental knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
- Academic knowledge or first hands-on experience with APIs, SQL, and data manipulation
- Interest in learning low-code platforms (n8n, Zapier) and CI/CD concepts (GitHub Actions)
- Product mindset with care for user experience and business impact
- Excellent communication skills in English
