Backend Engineer - Customer Risk Lifecycle

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our Banking Foundations domain in Barcelona, working on secure and compliant banking services. You'll develop and maintain microservices using Java 8/Kotlin and Spring Boot in a cross-functional team environment with high autonomy.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a microservice architecture
• Manage individual project priorities and deliverables while collaborating with your team
• Stay up to date with latest technology trends and propose findings during knowledge sharing sessions
• Work within cross-functional teams to maintain highest technical standards across the product

What you'll need

• Experience developing software using JVM languages and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems
• Sound understanding of microservice architecture
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres
• Experience with modern cloud architecture, preferably AWS
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Motivation to write well-tested and well-documented code
• Strong security mindset and attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin
