About the role

As a Senior Retail Designer at SumUp, you will shape how the company shows up in brick-and-mortar and marketplace environments through structural packaging and in-store execution. This high-impact role involves owning key retail initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready assets, and creating 3D product visualizations that support SumUp's global business tools for small businesses.

What you'll do

  • Design cohesive retail journeys across physical and digital touchpoints, leading structural packaging design that balances shelf impact with production constraints
  • Create high-fidelity 3D renders and assets for all products, defining scalable workflows and standards for design teams
  • Deliver technical, vendor-ready assets for packaging, displays, and digital storefronts that meet regulatory and channel specifications
  • Develop modular retail toolkits and visual standards for regional teams to localize assets while maintaining brand consistency
  • Manage high-risk, high-cost projects, providing clear visibility on timelines and risks to leadership
  • Integrate local compliance regulations into master assets and consult on digital customer journeys

What you'll need

  • Extensive experience in retail and structural packaging design with proven ability to deliver production-ready assets
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D visualization and rendering with ability to define scalable standards
  • Strong technical understanding of materials, fabrication, and vendor management
  • Mastery of design systems and CMS/DAM tools for complex workflow management
  • Senior-level autonomy in project scoping and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional communication skills to frame technical challenges in commercial terms
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to partner across Hardware, Engineering, and Marketing teams
