Team Lead Debt Collections DACH (German speaking) (m/w/x)

About the role

Lead Grover's debt collection operations across Germany and Austria, managing both internal teams and external partners. You'll drive recovery efforts while building operational excellence and mentoring a team of collection specialists.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of 3 direct reports and ~18 indirect team members
• Own end-to-end debt recovery operations including email/phone workflows and payment allocation
• Actively drive debt recovery efforts and connect with customers when needed
• Build performance-driven culture using KPIs and data to optimize collection strategies
• Manage external Debt Collection Agency partnerships to meet efficiency and customer experience standards
• Identify operational bottlenecks and streamline processes

What you'll need

• 3+ years experience in Collections, Financial Services, or high-volume Operations
• Minimum 1 year of direct leadership experience in fast-paced environments
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills and business process management
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to work under pressure
• Excellent English and German communication skills (Native/C1 German essential)
• Tech-savvy with ability to translate complex processes into actionable steps
