Staff Product Designer - Consumer Experience

About the role

As Staff Product Designer - Consumer Experience, you will lead design for consumer-facing AI experiences across voice, chat, and multimodal interfaces. You'll work with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, trustworthy interfaces that make AI agents feel effortless and human-like for everyday users.

What you'll do

• Bring design vision to life for consumer-facing multimodal experiences across voice, chat, and graphical touchpoints
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and AI specialists to align on user needs and business impact
• Lead UX strategy with focus on multimodal consumer interactions and research-driven insights
• Prototype and test interaction models that make AI agents intuitive and trustworthy
• Take end-to-end ownership of design in your product team from strategy to execution
• Balance simplicity and delight to ensure interfaces feel natural and human-like

What you'll need

• 8+ years product design experience with consumer-facing products, including 2+ years in lead capacity
• Strong expertise designing multimodal experiences across voice, chat, and mobile
• Proven ability to translate design vision into coherent execution within cross-functional teams
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with portfolio demonstrating user-centered consumer solutions
• Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers to drive outcomes
• Research-driven mindset grounded in user research and usability testing
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to align cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience designing consumer products with AI or conversational interfaces
• Background in multimodal experiences combining voice, chat, and graphical interfaces
• Familiarity with design systems in scaling organizations
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design for multimodal products
• Interest in emerging interaction models like ambient computing, AR/VR, or wearables
