Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

You'll work as a Forward Deployed Engineer helping rebuild Germany's property management industry by implementing and adapting Buena's technology directly with users in live operational environments. This role involves working closely with property managers to migrate from outdated desktop software to modern automated workflows, acting as the bridge between real-world complexity and scalable software solutions.

What you'll do

• Work directly with users to deploy and adapt Buena to real operational workflows
• Build custom automations, data migrations and integrations where needed
• Prototype solutions quickly and turn validated approaches into scalable product improvements
• Work directly with founders, product and design to turn complex real-world operations into robust, scalable software

What you'll need

• Founder-type talent with intensity and obsession for solving real problems
• Proven experience working directly with users or customers to solve complex operational problems
• Strong ability to operate independently and turn ambiguity into structured solutions
• Strong product intuition combined with solid engineering fundamentals in modern web technologies (TypeScript, React, Node)
• Clear thinking around system design, user flows and long-term product architecture
