About the role
This is an IT Internal Auditor position at SumUp, a global fintech company, where you'll strengthen the Internal Audit team by ensuring IT environments are secure, compliant, and support millions of businesses worldwide. You'll focus on IT-specific audits, risk management, and compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
What you'll do
- Lead and execute IT-focused internal audits ensuring systems meet regulatory and business requirements
- Analyze data through queries, system extractions, and advanced analytics to improve audit efficiency
- Develop focused IT audit plans to evaluate technology risks across the company
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations and present to management and stakeholders
- Act as independent voice for control and compliance while building stakeholder relationships
- Conduct targeted audits of AWS security standards and access controls in cloud environments
- Perform risk-based reviews of payment products and security requirements in development lifecycle
- Identify anomalies and excessive privileges across different systems and payment platforms
What you'll need
- At least 4 years of internal audit experience in regulated financial services environment
- Proven IT auditing expertise and strong knowledge of audit standards and risk management
- Experience with IT general controls, compliance, governance, and security frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, NIST, GDPR)
- Advanced data analytics skills for audit work
- Clear English communication skills and ability to write impactful reports
- Ethical, independent mindset with confidence to influence change across organizational levels
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA, CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
- Knowledge of data analytics tools
