Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Join our AI team and build the intelligent systems at the core of Cosuno's platform!

What you'll do

• AI Agent Development: Build and improve our agentic system that orchestrates multi-step reasoning to navigate the complex, often messy tendering workflow.
• Ranking & Search: Design and iterate on ranking algorithms and retrieval systems that power subcontractor matching and marketplace search
• Price Prediction: Improve models that estimate fair pricing for construction work, helping users evaluate bids and make better procurement decisions
• ML Pipelines End-to-End: Design and own the full ML lifecycle—from model architecture and evaluation to data ingestion and production deployment.
• Experimentation & Evaluation: Design and run offline evaluations, online A/B tests, and metrics-driven iterations to continuously improve model quality
• Collaborate across teams: work with Product, Engineering, and Data to translate business problems into ML solutions
• Maintain production ML: monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement of deployed models

What you'll need

• Strong Python engineer first: 5+ years of experience writing production-grade Python. You write clean, well-structured code.
• Deep expertise in at least one of classical ML or LLM applications: Strong foundations in both areas, with depth in at least one.
• Backend engineering skills: Comfortable building APIs, data pipelines, and services.
• Product mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and able to judge when to ship something that is good enough.
• Sharp problem solver: You can look at a complex system, quickly identify what matters, and decide what to do next. You don't get overwhelmed by ambiguity.
• Bias for action: If you're not sure whether something will work out, your first instinct is to quickly find out with data rather than keep wondering.

Nice to have

• Master's/PhD in ML, CS, Statistics, or related field
• TypeScript experience for cross-team collaboration
