General Ledger Accountant (DE)

About the role

Join AMBOSS as a General Ledger Accountant supporting monthly and annual financial closings in a German HGB environment. You'll manage defined accounting areas independently while supporting IFRS reporting and ERP system migration from DATEV to Workday.

What you'll do

• Support monthly and annual financial closings according to HGB and assist with IFRS reporting adjustments
• Take ownership of defined closing areas such as provisions, accruals, fixed assets, or intercompany reconciliations
• Perform regular account reconciliations and ensure clean alignment between general and subsidiary ledgers
• Prepare audit documentation and support auditor inquiries
• Serve as contact person for internal stakeholders on accounting matters within your responsibility area
• Support the migration from DATEV to Workday ERP from an accounting perspective
• Contribute to development and optimization of accounting processes
• Work within a SaaS/subscription-based business model and support related accounting matters

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting in a German HGB environment
• Initial practical experience with IFRS through reporting or audit work
• Proficiency with ERP systems (DATEV, Workday, SAP, Navision) and excellent Excel skills
• Structured, careful, and independent working style
• High attention to detail and sense of responsibility
• Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
