About the role

Bounti is hiring a Senior Product Engineer to join their founding product team in Berlin. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves ownership, sweats UX details, and ships fast, end to end delivering value for customers.

What you'll do

• Own features from concept to implementation to release to iteration (frontend + backend).
• Deliver quickly, validate with customers, and iterate. Biggest risk is building the wrong thing — not imperfect code.
• Talk to users and customers directly, understand the workflow pain, and turn feedback into product improvements.
• Partner closely with the Designer and Co-Founder to create experiences that feel premium and intuitive.
• Improve patterns, code quality, DX, testing, and observability without slowing down shipping.
• Prioritize ruthlessly, own outcomes, and help shape what "great product engineering" looks like at Bounti.

What you'll need

• Strong product sense — you care about UX, clarity, and the tiny details that make software feel "right".
• Strong on the backend — you've built and scaled real production systems and you're not afraid to go deep when needed.
• Pragmatic and impact-driven: you know when to polish and when to ship to learn.
• You write clean, understandable, maintainable code and communicate context early and often.
• Comfortable talking to customers, understanding real-world constraints, and building solutions that stick.

Nice to have

• Experience with the stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Postgres, Prisma.
• Built AI product features (LLMs, agents, workflows, evaluation, etc.)
• Mobile product experience (Flutter, React Native or similar)
• ML experience
