About the role

As a Junior Performance Marketing Manager / SEM, you'll work in a tech-driven environment to scale and optimize paid search and feed-based advertising for a talent marketplace. You'll collaborate with engineers and data experts to build an automated performance marketing engine that goes beyond traditional Google Ads campaigns.

What you'll do

  • Drive SEM campaign setup, optimization, and strategic scaling guided by KPIs like ROAS, CPA, CVR, CPC and CTR
  • Conduct keyword research, account structuring, bidding strategy adjustments, and continuous ad copy testing
  • Launch and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests to maximize ROAS and delivery performance
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and Martech team to improve campaign automation and machine-learning optimization
  • Support AI-native setup by leveraging LLMs, prompt workflows, and automation tools for campaign enhancement
  • Create performance reports, identify trends, and connect insights to business outcomes
  • Support implementation of tracking requirements including conversion tracking and feed signals

What you'll need

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven capabilities with passion for problem-solving
  • Tech-savvy mindset with willingness to experiment with AI tools, scripts, or web tracking
  • Comfortable using AI daily for prompting, QA, iteration, workflow automation, and analysis
  • Solid understanding of data structures and confidence working with large spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex performance concepts and discuss KPIs with stakeholders
  • Self-driven, motivated, and comfortable taking full ownership of tasks
  • Fluency in English required

Nice to have

  • Experience in performance marketing
  • Familiarity with XML feeds or SQL
  • German language skills
