About the role
SumUp is seeking an Endpoint & MDM Manager to lead the technical architecture for their global device landscape of 3,800+ devices. You'll transform their high-volume environment into a compliant, automated operation while bridging security requirements with day-to-day operations across multiple regions.
What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive audit of Azure/Entra setup and lead cleanup to ensure top-tier security and compliance
- Review and manage Zero-touch deployment strategy using ABM, DEP, and Windows Autopilot
- Drive adoption of AI-powered tooling and automation to reduce manual device management
- Partner with Systems Engineering to ensure device compliance policies and identity controls are aligned
- Integrate CMDB with Service Desk to automate asset recovery and lifecycle management
- Act as primary stakeholder for Security and People teams ensuring 100% device compliance
- Manage migrations from current setups to specialized tools like Kandji
- Collaborate with Finance and Procurement on hardware budgets and asset lifecycle costs
What you'll need
- 5+ years experience in Senior IT Operations or Systems Engineering with technical leadership track record
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure and Entra ID for identity and device management
- Mastery of Zero-Touch Deployment with Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager
- Proven experience with MDM migrations, particularly to specialized tools like Kandji or Jamf
- Expert knowledge of macOS and Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and configuration
- Systems-thinking mindset with preference for automated solutions over manual fixes
- Scripting and automation skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Passion for "cleaning up" and building scalable global blueprints
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with specialized Mac MDM tools like Kandji, Jamf, or Mosyle
- Experience in Fintech or regulated environments with SOC2 or ISO compliance
- Experience negotiating contracts with international hardware and leasing partners
