Accounting Lead

About the role

This is a Senior Accounting Manager position at an AI-driven trade platform transforming industrial supply chains. You'll lead the accounting team and manage financial reporting processes while supporting the company's rapid international expansion and path to profitability.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage the core accounting team of 2 professionals
• Manage day-to-day preparatory bookkeeping operations
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS
• Prepare and analyze monthly expenses related to material and logistic costs, identifying variances
• Collaborate with internal departments and board of management on tax and financial accounting issues
• Lead accounts receivable processes including external inquiries and dunning process management
• Liaise with external accountancy firm
• Support finance initiatives in an international environment

What you'll need

• Relevant experience in audit firm (Big Four or mid-tier preferred) or accounting/bookkeeping/finance
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance/accounting or comparable qualification
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and HGB accounting standards
• Advanced Excel skills
• Fluency in German and English with strong communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Experience with DATEV, DUO (DATEV Unternehmen Online) and other financial systems
