About the role
This is a Senior Platform Engineer role focused on integrations, combining backend engineering with platform thinking to enable internal teams to automate workflows and orchestrate AI-powered processes. You'll design and operate systems that connect SpringBoot microservices with internal tools and external SaaS platforms in a scalable, secure, production-grade way.
What you'll do
- Extend existing Spring Boot services and APIs to enable new integration and orchestration use cases
- Build and maintain REST APIs, webhook endpoints, and event-driven integration patterns
- Apply distributed systems best practices including idempotency, retries, rate limiting, and failure isolation
- Deploy and operate integration-related services in Kubernetes-based environment
- Ensure proper monitoring, logging, and alerting for automation and integration workloads
- Design secure patterns for webhooks, OAuth-based SaaS integrations, and credential management
- Apply least-privilege IAM principles across workflows and APIs
- Enable internal teams to self-serve automation safely through reusable components
- Operate and extend internal workflow orchestration tooling
What you'll need
- 5-10 years of professional engineering experience
- Minimum 3+ years hands-on production experience with Java and SpringBoot (mandatory)
- Proven experience building and operating microservices in cloud environment
- Practical experience with Kubernetes deployments, networking, and resource limits
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code setups
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT, service accounts)
- Platform-oriented systems thinking for distributed systems
- Security awareness for identifying blast radius and abuse vectors
- Ownership mindset with focus on long-term stability and observability
