About the role

As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Specialist at Upvest, you will own regulatory reporting end-to-end for a BaFin and Bundesbank regulated fintech investment firm. You'll be responsible for accurate, timely preparation of all regulatory reports while working closely with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Data teams to embed reporting into the company's ecosystem.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in line with all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory reporting topics within the company
  • Track regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation into reporting processes
  • Own and maintain the regulatory reporting calendar, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Develop, document, and continuously update work instructions and reporting documentation
  • Serve as key contact for regulators, external auditors, and supervisory reviews
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Data, and Management teams
  • Design and improve robust data flows for reporting processes
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, including AI solutions

What you'll need

  • Solid expertise in regulatory reporting processes and obligations (AWV, DepotStatistik, Bilanzstatistik, Millionenkreditmeldung)
  • Several years of relevant work experience in accounting, audit, or advisory, ideally in regulated environments
  • Strong communication skills in English with ability to explain complex concepts
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Motivation to continuously deepen knowledge in regulatory reporting and processes
  • German language skills (spoken and written) for local stakeholder support
