About the role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing financial consolidation processes and audit compliance at a leading FinTech platform. You'll lead a team of group accountants while ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting in accordance with IFRS standards.
What you'll do
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation processes for group entities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Identify and resolve inter-company transactions, eliminations, and discrepancies
- Act as primary liaison with internal and external auditors during financial audits
- Oversee preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Manage and develop a team of group accountants, setting goals and monitoring progress
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with subsidiary finance teams and other departments
- Identify opportunities to improve consolidation and audit processes
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial consolidation and auditing
- At least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in fast-paced industries
- Strong knowledge of German Commercial Code and IFRS
- Proficiency in financial consolidation software, ERP systems (NetSuite), and reporting tools (Workiva)
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent analytical abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects independently
Nice to have
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (CPA, CIMA, IFRS-Accountant)
- Experience in multinational or multi-entity organizations
- Experience working for a regulated financial institution
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
- International experience
