About the role
As Director of Marketing Data at N26, you will be the primary architect of the company's data-driven growth engine, serving as a strategic leader responsible for the mathematical rigor behind market expansion and customer unit economics. You will transition the organization from "data-informed" to "data-led," building a world-class team that treats data as a high-quality product while bridging complex data engineering with executive-level decision-making.
What you'll do
- Architect and scale a high-performing multidisciplinary data organization, defining headcount strategy, career frameworks, and operational rhythms
- Act as strategic counterweight to Marketing leadership, using data to influence budget allocation and own the "Single Source of Truth" for marketing efficiency
- Lead development of proprietary data products including real-time LTV forecasting, incrementality testing frameworks, and Marketing Mix Modeling
- Establish sophisticated data governance and privacy framework that uses privacy-first data collection as competitive advantage
- Serve as key stakeholder in global data council, ensuring marketing data architecture integrates with broader company systems
- Design company's experimentation roadmap, championing rigorous scientific method for growth testing
What you'll need
- 10+ years of data leadership experience with proven track record influencing C-suite stakeholders in high-growth, consumer-tech environment
- Deep expertise in Martech & Adtech landscape and how these technologies interface with modern data stacks
- Experience treating data as a product, building scalable automated internal tools
- Deep understanding of unit economics, CAC/LTV dynamics, and ability to translate technical data into business insights
- Technical depth to conduct code reviews and architectural audits, with proficiency in SQL and Python/R for predictive modeling
- Proven ability to lead teams through pivots, scaling challenges, and organizational transformations
