Senior Payments Lead

About the role

Lead the operational and partnership side of payments at GetYourGuide, managing over €4B+ in GMV across 39 currencies. You'll drive global expansion into LATAM and APAC while optimizing performance in existing European and North American markets through multi-acquirer processing and orchestration capabilities.

What you'll do

• Build and implement a company-wide payments operating model with clear ownership, governance, and escalation processes
• Optimize payment performance by analyzing data to improve success rates, authorization, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Manage key payment partnerships end-to-end including performance monitoring, accountability, and commercial negotiations
• Enable expansion into LATAM and APAC markets with repeatable readiness processes and local payment method coverage
• Build and scale the payments function including team development, tools, and operational processes
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Risk, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Operations teams

What you'll need

• Multi-year leadership experience in payments within a scaled, multi-market environment
• Proven experience managing payment partners including performance governance and commercial negotiations
• Customer-first mindset viewing payments as a growth and experience enabler
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights and compelling company-wide narratives
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to align diverse teams toward shared outcomes
