About the role

We're seeking a Lead Quant Trader to build and drive our trading function, designing and executing quantitative strategies at the core of trawa's business model. You'll shape our trading philosophy while creating an environment where traders and quants can excel, directly impacting company profitability in energy markets.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and execute quantitative models for portfolio trading and optimization of flexible assets like batteries
  • Contribute hands-on to trading platform development including data engineering, signal generation, and backtesting
  • Implement MLOPS and live execution systems
  • Lead the evolution of trading strategies and platform architecture
  • Drive profitability through strategic trading decisions in energy markets

What you'll need

  • Experience in quantitative trading roles with proven profitability track record in energy markets
  • Hands-on expertise in Python, data engineering, event-driven design, and databases
  • Experience building or leading development of end-to-end algo trading systems in production
  • Strong mathematical and statistical foundation with deep knowledge of optimization and prediction techniques
  • Knowledge of MLOPS, MILP, and stochastic optimization
  • Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset for fast-paced environments
