About the role

As our first inhouse accountant, you are the operational engine behind the internalization of our financial processes. You take over the bookkeeping and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements of our subsidiaries, thereby eliminating dependence on various external tax advisory firms.

What you'll do

• Insourcing & Scaling: You are part of the gradual transition of accounting for our subsidiaries from external tax advisors to our internal structure.
• Operational Accounting: You take over ongoing financial accounting as well as independent preparation of annual financial statements according to HGB and tax law.
• Central Contact Person: You act as a competent interface for our PortCos on all accounting issues and ensure data quality for Group Reporting.
• Process Forensics: You identify and clean up inefficient legacy issues in the accounting of newly acquired companies and implement modern, digital standards.

What you'll need

• Completed training as a tax specialist or a business administration degree with focus on accounting.
• At least 2-5 years of solid experience in Datev, including handling complex data imports and ASCII interfaces.
• Demonstrable experience in preparing management reports and balance sheets as well as a solid understanding of the methodological differences between commercial and tax law.
• Hands-on mentality, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking.
