About the role
You will be joining the Developer Enablement domain responsible for enabling all cross-functional development teams to have a robust, scalable, reliable, cost-effective and highly secure infrastructure for their respective applications. As an Infrastructure Engineer II, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining the infrastructure framework, thus providing a paved path for all development teams.
What you'll do
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management processes using tools such as Terraform/Terragrunt or equivalent
- Continuously optimize infrastructure for reliability, security, cost-efficiency and performance
- Implement Kubernetes best practices for packaging and cluster management
- Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting framework to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues
- Invest in automation for a change management process that balances agility & continuous delivery with regulatory requirements
- Focus on building a secure and auditable networking backbone for PPRO
- Implement scalable infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of PPRO's growing business
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations like PCI, DORA, etc.
What you'll need
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Strong background in infrastructure as code, automation, and orchestration tools
- In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration
- Proven experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Understanding of networking and firewall concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines for performance, reliability, and costefficiency
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically
Nice to have
- Understanding of secure CI/CD practices, such as secret management, dependency scanning, and integrating security tests into the pipeline
- Advanced knowledge of GitHub Actions for CI/CD, including creating complex workflows, using reusable workflows, and integrating third-party actions
- Experience with backup and restore processes for both infrastructure and data
