Founding Engineer

We're looking for a Founding Engineer: an excellent software engineer who's equally comfortable building a polished UI and designing an LLM agent pipeline that works reliably in production. You'll be one of the first engineering hires, deciding what to build, architecting how it works, and shipping it to enterprise customers who rely on it daily.

What you'll do

• Work closely with real enterprise users, turning raw feedback and behavioral insights into product experiences that truly land
• Make complex agent pipelines feel simple, fast, and trustworthy to users through supplier analysis, cost benchmarking, and negotiation strategy generation
• Ship full-stack features: UX, backend logic, prompt pipelines, data integrations
• Prototype fast, learn from real usage, and iterate until the product is genuinely excellent
• Shape the engineering foundation through architectural decisions, tool choices, and patterns that define how Delvo's engineering scales
• Talk to customers directly and see your code change how procurement teams at major manufacturers make decisions

What you'll need

• Be an excellent software engineer with a track record of shipping production systems, whether at a company, on side projects, or in open source
• Have real, hands-on experience with LLMs beyond calling an API - know how to prompt effectively, build retrieval pipelines, work with embeddings
• Have sharp product instincts - think about the user, not just the code
• Be high-agency and outcome-driven - figure out what to build, not just how
• Use AI tools as a natural part of how you work, and understand where they help and where they get in the way

• Any exposure to procurement, supply chain, ERP systems, or enterprise B2B software
