Finance Analyst

About the role

This is a strategic finance position serving as a right-hand to the Director Finance & People at Knowunity, a learning platform company. You'll act as both a finance operator and builder, working directly with leadership on financial processes, automation, and cross-functional initiatives while helping scale the finance function.

What you'll do

• Act as strategic right-hand to Director Finance & People, preparing decision briefs and running cross-functional initiatives
• Own key financial processes including monthly/quarterly/annual close and coordination with external auditors
• Drive operational controlling including budget planning, financial forecasting, and liquidity management
• Build and deliver monthly reporting and produce data-driven analysis for growth and investment decisions
• Identify and execute opportunities to automate finance workflows using AI tools and low-code platforms
• Support financial modeling for growth and innovation projects as sparring partner to management team
• Manage relationships with tax advisors, auditors, and legal providers across multiple jurisdictions
• Help build digital finance infrastructure including intelligent dashboards and predictive KPIs

What you'll need

• 1-3 years experience in finance at Big 4 advisory firm or high-growth startup
• Degree from top-tier university in business, finance, or related field
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills
• Solid understanding of German accounting practices and familiarity with IFRS
• Excellent German and English skills, written and spoken
• Builder and operator mindset - proactive, self-driven, and pragmatic

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools or low-code platforms
• Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work
