Senior Regulatory Legal Counsel (Private Equity & Funds)

About the role

Senior Legal Counsel position focused on fund structuring and regulatory matters for private equity investments. You'll lead legal aspects of Luxembourg-domiciled private equity funds, working with cross-border teams to support new investment product launches and ensure regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

• Create, monitor and maintain Private Equity funds, implement draft amendments and handle registrations with foreign authorities
• Prepare, draft and revise legal documents for investment funds, considering operational needs and applicable regulations
• Draft and negotiate agreements in accordance with company standards and Luxembourg or local regulations
• Conduct legal research and contribute to projects for internal needs and customer files
• Develop and update procedures and regulatory databases
• Contribute to operational fund management including board resolutions, auditor contact and report revisions
• Monitor regulatory developments and analyze foreign regulations for local compliance assessment

What you'll need

• Fully qualified lawyer in Germany or Luxembourg with focus on financial law
• 6-10 years post-qualification experience in law firm, financial services, or private equity
• Strong knowledge of fund regulations (UCITS, AIFMD, CSSF regulations and practices) and EU directives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to make legal texts understandable to non-lawyers
• Highly structured with ability to navigate fast-paced environments and handle ambiguity
