About the role

You'll be developing state-of-the-art reinforcement learning agents for the CA-1 Europa autonomous combat aerial vehicle as part of the Centaur project. This involves building the autonomy brain for a cutting-edge aerial platform, integrating RL agents into high-performance runtime systems for real-time autonomous decision-making in flight.

What you'll do

  • Build, train and integrate reinforcement learning agents into high-performance runtime systems for real-time autonomous flight decisions
  • Contribute to the reinforcement learning stack by implementing, improving and extending multi-agent reinforcement learning capabilities
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate cutting-edge ML/AI into production systems for autonomous aerial platforms
  • Develop and deploy AI software with proper testing, QA, and monitoring protocols

What you'll need

  • MSc in machine learning with specialization in reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, automation and control, or robotics
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present research findings clearly both internally and externally
  • Passion for staying current with research and reimplementing/extending state-of-the-art Deep Learning approaches
  • Solid software engineering skills in Python and/or Rust, Java, or modern C++
  • Experience deploying AI software to production including testing, QA, and monitoring

Nice to have

  • PhD in reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, automation and control, robotics, or related fields with publications in top-tier conferences
  • Experience with large-scale RL training
  • Experience modeling and training multi-agent controllers using state-of-the-art tools and techniques

What they offer

  • Competitive salary and stock options (ESOP)
  • Relocation support up to €2,500 and 4 weeks temporary accommodation
  • €500 yearly learning allowance
  • Gym membership and mental health support
