About the role

This is a Business Development role at an AI-driven trade platform for industrial materials, focusing on building client portfolios and driving revenue growth. You'll be responsible for acquiring new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and contributing to the company's expansion across international markets in infrastructure, energy, and construction materials.

What you'll do

  • Build and develop your own client portfolio by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities within your assigned market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships
  • Proactively qualify new leads through daily outbound calls, follow-ups, and consistent pipeline management
  • Spend several hours per day on the phone engaging with potential and existing clients, guiding them through the sales process
  • Work closely with the technology team to provide feedback on platform functionality and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with both buyers and suppliers to address any issues, inquiries, or challenges that may arise during the trading process
  • Monitor your performance against monthly targets and KPIs, taking ownership of revenue growth within your portfolio
  • Stay informed about market trends, product demand, and industry dynamics to make informed trading decisions

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Prior experience in Business Development, Sales, Key Account Management, or Account Management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Native English speaker
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Nice to have

  • Master's degree
  • Basic understanding of national and international trade and supply chain management
