About the role

This is the hardest job on the Ops team and the fastest path to running your own business unit at Buena. You'll be the person the VP of Property Management calls when a portfolio company's margins need to go from 5% to 35%, when an acquisition needs due diligence by Friday, or when a regulatory change hits and someone needs to own the response.

What you'll do

  • Run the numbers on acquisitions: analyze P&Ls, model unit economics, and support due diligence for new portfolio companies.
  • Drive integration on the ground: work with site leads to move portfolio companies onto Buena's platform, professionalize processes, fix what's broken, and improve margins.
  • Find new revenue: evaluate adjacent opportunities (insurance, brokerage, energy) and model whether they're worth building. If they are, you'll help launch them.
  • Own projects end-to-end: regulatory compliance, recruiting at portfolio companies, operational firefighting.
  • Be the VP's right hand: strategic sparring partner to Linus (VP Property Management), prepare analyses for leadership, and take ownership of whatever needs to move fastest.

What you'll need

  • Fluent German: C2 or native. This is a German-language operating environment.
  • Based in Berlin, willing to travel regularly to portfolio companies across Germany.
  • Professional experience in consulting, operations, finance, or a startup environment.
  • Comfortable with P&Ls, financial modeling, and working under pressure.
  • High ownership mentality. You don't wait to be told what to do.

Nice to have

  • Property management or real estate background.
  • Post-merger integration experience.
  • Familiarity with software rollouts.

What they offer

  • Virtual stock options and a €500/month housing allowance near HQ.
  • Direct access to leadership with full decision-making autonomy.
  • €110/month lunch budget, €50 fitness subsidy, daily breakfast, and specialty coffee at the office.
