FP&A Analyst

About the role

The FP&A Analyst at AMBOSS plays a crucial role in guiding financial planning and analysis activities, driving strategic decision-making, and providing insights that enhance the company's financial performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial goals are met and long-term business strategies are effectively supported.

What you'll do

• Support the annual budgeting process, regular forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Analyze financial performance against targets, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities
• Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate business initiatives and support planning decisions
• Partner with business units and department leads to understand performance drivers and align financial plans with operational goals
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making across the organization
• Strengthen collaboration with stakeholders to improve financial transparency and planning processes

What you'll need

• Strong academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Business Informatics, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, consulting, or similar role in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models, unit economics, and common growth metrics
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (especially Google Sheets) including complex formulas
• Analytical mindset with ability to turn complex data into clear insights
• Clear and structured communication skills with ability to explain financial topics to non-finance stakeholders
• Well-organized and reliable self-starter able to manage priorities in dynamic environment
• Collaborative approach with pragmatic, hands-on attitude

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools, SQL, or planning/reporting systems
