About the role
As Senior Commercial Manager for Helsing Germany, you will develop and execute commercial strategies for AI and software products targeting German defence partners and military customers. You'll work closely with Business Development and Customer Success teams to drive growth and build innovative commercial models in the defence AI sector.
What you'll do
- Develop breakthrough commercial strategies supporting domain strategies and product roadmaps
- Manage commercial risk and value delivery across the contract lifecycle
- Deliver commercial bids with robust pricing strategies and commercial models
- Support commercial negotiations with German defence customers (Government and Business)
- Provide expertise in German pricing law and ensure regulatory compliance
- Build business cases for new opportunities and research new clients and markets
- Manage contracts including change, waiver and claim management
- Implement contract reporting systems
What you'll need
- Commercial acumen with in-depth understanding of defence/government contracting
- Understanding of software product contract and licensing models
- Ability to work across all commercial activities - strategy, bids, procurement, and contract management
- Experience driving successful bid and proposal submissions
- Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
- Experience with German pricing law
- Strong problem solving and project management skills
- Proven experience managing successful contract performance
- Exceptional communication skills with fluent written English and defence terminology knowledge
