About the role

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you'll build, operate, and shape the foundational infrastructure powering n8n Cloud. You'll focus on scaling the platform to support rapid expansion while delivering a stable experience to millions of users and supporting internal product teams.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and operate infrastructure for the cloud platform focusing on high availability, performance, and developer efficiency
  • Push the boundaries on scaling to millions of users
  • Drive observability, monitoring, and alerting while reducing operational toil through automation
  • Improve security and observability posture
  • Contribute to on-call rotation and maintain system health and performance
  • Own KTLO work including reliability improvements, performance optimization, and critical bug fixes
  • Collaborate with Cloud team engineers and cross-functional teams including product engineers and PMs
  • Play a key role in strategic technical decisions around architecture, tooling, and platform evolution

What you'll need

  • Solid infrastructure/Cloud/DevOps engineering experience scaling complex platforms
  • Application development experience with Node.js
  • Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines and build processes
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and performance tuning
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong TypeScript or JavaScript skills
  • Growth mindset with willingness to learn and adapt

Nice to have

  • Tech leadership abilities with hands-on servant-leadership style
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, security, and cloud-native architecture
  • Experience in startup environments or high-trust small teams
  • Azure experience
