About the role

You join the core team as an entrepreneurial builder, reporting directly to the CEO. Your mandate is to build Vara's commercial and marketing engine to turn clinical leadership into market leadership – AI-first wherever possible, always focused on creating real business value.

What you'll do

  • Make Vara's commercial operations scalable across European markets. Own the systems and processes that turn leads into pipeline, pipeline into deals, and deals into long-term partnerships
  • Handle lead intelligence and outreach, tender strategy and execution, contract lifecycle management, distributor and OEM enablement, competitive intelligence, and commercial analytics
  • Build Vara's marketing infrastructure from the ground up. Own how Vara shows up at conferences, in inboxes, on social, and in the press across all target markets
  • Manage multilingual content production, conference strategy and execution, earned media and KOL engagement, demand generation, and partner co-marketing
  • Work together with our Head of Product and the Founders to identify and prototype new business lines adjacent to Vara's core business
  • Act as a sparring partner for every team on becoming more AI-first — sharing what works, pressure-testing ideas, and staying relentlessly up-to-date on what's possible

What you'll need

  • You've already built and managed AI agents, shipped AI-powered workflows or products, and automated complex processes end-to-end
  • You don't choose between "technical" and "commercial" — you use technical leverage to create business results
  • You'd rather build a working prototype over a weekend than spend time on a strategy deck. You parallelize naturally
  • Your internal tolerance for delays and inefficiencies is close to zero. You are comfortable with making mistakes and taking decisions under uncertainty
  • You own your thoughts and feelings explicitly, without projecting insecurities onto others or external circumstances
  • You context-switch fast and build conviction quickly in unfamiliar territory across sales ops, marketing, partnerships, and product exploration

Nice to have

  • Experience in health tech, medtech, or regulated industries
  • Background in venture building, or high-growth startups
  • Academic credentials – we are open to hire someone that is very intelligent but hasn't graduated from a so-called top-tier university
