Engineering Manager

About the role

CarOnSale is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow engineering teams while driving technical excellence in their B2B automotive marketplace platform. You'll be responsible for scaling the organization, mentoring talent, and working cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions that transform Europe's automotive market.

What you'll do

• Guide and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and technical excellence
• Recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent to meet ambitious business goals
• Leverage scaling experience to grow the organization rapidly while maintaining robust processes and structures
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Business, and Operations teams to define and execute strategies
• Drive outstanding business outcomes and customer experiences through technical leadership

• Solid background in software development and system architecture
• Growth mindset that thrives in ambiguity while continuously raising standards
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Strong problem-solving abilities to break down complex challenges and lead teams to scalable solutions

Nice to have

• Professional working proficiency or conversational skills in German
• Experience in dynamic start-up or scale-up contexts
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, and Angular
