About the role

Lead a cross-functional engineering team that builds and maintains KYC (Know Your Customer) microservices at Raisin, a leading FinTech platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll actively contribute to code while managing team delivery, performance, and growth in a remote-first environment.

What you'll do

  • Manage full E2E delivery cycle from requirements analysis through implementation, QA, delivery, and 24/7 operational support
  • Write clean, maintainable Python code and implement new features while maintaining existing codebases
  • Lead technical decisions and foster engineering excellence across the team's tech stack
  • Collaborate with Product Manager on strategy, planning, and OKR process
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard engineers while developing their technical and soft skills
  • Create individual development plans and provide coaching aligned to team goals
  • Resolve impediments, mitigate risks, and escalate issues with solution plans when needed
  • Maintain high performance standards and address low performance promptly

What you'll need

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership/people management experience in remote setup
  • Minimum 8 years hands-on Backend Software Engineer experience
  • Strong experience with Python technologies and modern software development lifecycle
  • Experience with AWS Services, Kubernetes, and Event-Driven architectures
  • Hands-on experience in technical platform transitions within a company
  • Comfortable with architecture discussions and collaborative project management
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills

Nice to have

  • Prior exposure to KYC domain
  • German language skills
  • Experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, and React Native
