About the role
Lead a cross-functional engineering team that builds and maintains KYC (Know Your Customer) microservices at Raisin, a leading FinTech platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll actively contribute to code while managing team delivery, performance, and growth in a remote-first environment.
What you'll do
- Manage full E2E delivery cycle from requirements analysis through implementation, QA, delivery, and 24/7 operational support
- Write clean, maintainable Python code and implement new features while maintaining existing codebases
- Lead technical decisions and foster engineering excellence across the team's tech stack
- Collaborate with Product Manager on strategy, planning, and OKR process
- Recruit, hire, and onboard engineers while developing their technical and soft skills
- Create individual development plans and provide coaching aligned to team goals
- Resolve impediments, mitigate risks, and escalate issues with solution plans when needed
- Maintain high performance standards and address low performance promptly
What you'll need
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of leadership/people management experience in remote setup
- Minimum 8 years hands-on Backend Software Engineer experience
- Strong experience with Python technologies and modern software development lifecycle
- Experience with AWS Services, Kubernetes, and Event-Driven architectures
- Hands-on experience in technical platform transitions within a company
- Comfortable with architecture discussions and collaborative project management
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to KYC domain
- German language skills
- Experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, and React Native
