Senior Group Accountant

About the role

This is a Group Accountant position focused on consolidated financial statements preparation under HGB across international subsidiaries. You'll lead month-end closings, manage external auditors, and drive process automation initiatives in a fast-growing e-commerce operations company.

What you'll do

• Prepare consolidated financial statements under HGB including capital, debt and intercompany eliminations
• Coordinate month, quarter and year-end closings across international subsidiaries (FR, IT, ES, UK, NL)
• Serve as key contact for external auditors (PwC) and international tax advisors
• Manage intercompany accounting, transaction flows, reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
• Develop LucaNet and DATEV systems, ensuring data integrity and reporting structures
• Drive process automation and digital transformation initiatives within accounting
• Prepare management-level reporting and contribute to multi-year planning

What you'll need

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK), ACCA or CPA preferred
• 3+ years experience in group accounting, consolidation or external audit (Big 4/mid-tier preferred)
• Strong hands-on HGB knowledge, including consolidation under §290 ff. HGB
• Experience with LucaNet or similar consolidation software and working knowledge of DATEV
• Proven ability to manage external auditors and international tax advisors
• Structured, detail-oriented and proactive with fluent English (German a plus)

• Exposure to EU VAT topics (MOSS/OSS)
• Interest in automation and AI-driven finance processes
