About the role

Peec AI is looking for a GEO Researcher to help us become the most recognized authority in AI Search through original research. This is a research-first role for someone who's spent years in SEO, loves figuring out how systems work, and is deeply curious about how large language models recommend, rank, cite, and surface brands.

What you'll do

  • Run original research on GEO, AEO, and AI Search
  • Reverse-engineer ranking and recommendation factors in LLM-driven search experiences
  • Analyze prompt outputs and source patterns across answer engines
  • Form hypotheses, design tests, and turn findings into clear conclusions
  • Publish original research based on your work
  • Use Peec AI daily and share product feedback with the team
  • Collaborate closely with our Data Scientists and GEO experts
  • Represent Peec AI externally through conference talks, if that fits your profile and interests

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO
  • A proven research mindset, you form hypotheses and test them
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Deep curiosity about AI Search and awareness of current debates in the SEO and AI Search community
  • Ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor

Nice to have

  • Conference speaking experience
  • Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup
  • Academic or research background
  • Hands-on experience reverse-engineering how traditional search engines or LLM-based answer engines work

What they offer

  • Challenging work with real impact and ownership
  • Aggressive equity compensation
  • The chance to shape a new category early
  • Close collaboration with leading GEO experts
  • Freedom to publish original research, with access to unique data and tooling
  • The opportunity to build your personal reputation in the field
