Director Product - Ecosystem

About the role

The Director of Product - Ecosystem will lead the product strategy for commercetools' internal and external-facing platform capabilities, reporting to the Chief Product Officer. This role focuses on creating a best-in-class developer and partner experience through scalable, secure, and extensible ecosystem solutions that reduce time-to-value.

What you'll do

• Define and execute product vision for the commercetools Ecosystem, aligning with company goals and developer needs
• Drive development of cutting-edge integration tools, extensibility solutions, and developer productivity features including GenAI and AI Agents
• Collaborate with VP Engineering, design, sales, marketing, customer solutions, and success teams for seamless execution
• Ensure best-in-class developer experience by simplifying integration and improving API usability
• Maintain partner and customer trust while minimizing time-to-value and maximizing satisfaction
• Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive dynamics to maintain market position

What you'll need

• Experience in world-class system integration, marketplaces, or developer ecosystems
• Proven track record building and leading high-performing product teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to align stakeholders at all levels
• Experience working across diverse teams in fast-paced, international environments
• Data-driven approach to decision making and impact measurement
• Deep understanding of developer experience, API-first design, microservices, and cloud architectures
• Business acumen and ability to align product vision with growth objectives
• Experience with AI-driven automation, GenAI, or AI Agents in developer tools
