About the role

As a (Senior) Quantitative Modeler, you will bring hands-on quantitative rigor to our modeling stack and become a key technical partner across different teams. You will develop, maintain, and extend our forecasting and backtesting models for defining the value of flexibility, integrating real market data and evolving regulatory constraints.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and continuously improve in-house backtesting and forecasting models for BESS revenues, expanding to new markets, products, and regulatory changes
  • Implement and refine technical and regulatory constraints in the models, including Flexible Connection Agreements (FCA) and operational limitations
  • Review and critically challenge external long-term revenue forecasts, including deep-dives into methodologies, assumptions, and sensitivities
  • Ensure model robustness, transparency, and reproducibility through clear documentation, version control, testing, and audit-ready workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, finance, asset, engineering, and product teams to ensure models reflect operational reality and support real investment decisions

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in energy markets, with strong exposure to Battery Energy Storage (BESS) revenue modeling
  • Deep familiarity with BESS revenue streams, relevant regulatory frameworks, and market design — ideally with a focus on the German market
  • Proven hands-on experience in quantitative modeling, particularly optimization and forecasting
  • Strong Python skills and experience building robust, reproducible analytical workflows
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership in identifying and addressing potential risks

What they offer

  • Competitive base salary plus ESOP component
  • Learning and Development budget of 1,000 EUR per person per year
  • High-impact role with ownership from day one
