Junior Grid Relations Manager

About the role

You'll manage concession applications and ongoing support for electrical specialists with distribution grid operators. This role involves building strategic partnerships, managing projects, and resolving escalations in the renewable energy sector.

What you'll do

• Handle concession management including applications and ongoing support for main and guest concessions with distribution grid operators
• Identify relevant contacts at distribution grid operators and build reliable strategic partnerships through continuous relationship management
• Manage strategic projects and develop efficient solutions for process-related issues in direct collaboration with distribution grid operators
• Participate in regulatory statements and projects with the regulatory team
• Handle escalations from distribution grid operators through active communication and negotiation to find viable compromises and solutions

What you'll need

• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical and regulatory matters clearly and precisely
• Proactive and structured working approach with ability to maintain order in fast-paced, diverse environments
• Resilience and perseverance to stay motivated and find solutions when challenges arise
• Experience in project management with various internal and external stakeholders or confidence to manage projects independently

Nice to have

• Practical technical knowledge in energy sector (PV systems, battery storage, charging infrastructure, heat pumps, grid connections)
• Knowledge of relevant regulations from new energy sector (§9 EEG, §14a EnWG, NAV, TABs, VDE-AR-4000/4105)
• Practical experience in concession management or collaboration with distribution grid operators
