About the role
As a Senior Embedded QA Engineer in SumUp's Hardware Tribe, you will work with cross-functional teams to build sustainable testing solutions for payment card readers. You will be accountable for mobile testing tools and serve as a critical decision maker in designing hardware test infrastructures to run HIL tests while supporting software releases.
What you'll do
- Ensure all new code meets quality standards and complies with selected best practices
- Build and maintain test infrastructure for HIL tests with strong emphasis on Embedded QA
- Ensure multiple types of tests cover main features including UI, Mobile Application, and end-to-end tests
- Ensure new releases are delivered timely with the right quality
- Evangelize a strong quality mindset within the Hardware tribe
What you'll need
- Expertise in Embedded QA in Linux environment
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming with Python as a must
- Knowledge with REST APIs
- Experience building test libraries
- Expertise in testing and continuous integration strategies
- Experience with manual testing, writing test cases and campaign management
