About the role
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will be the driving force behind our indirect spend strategy during a period of significant operational scaling. You'll take full ownership of high-impact categories, with a particular emphasis on navigating complex IT landscapes and supporting large-scale facility infrastructure projects.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute category strategies for all indirect spend, including Marketing, HR, Professional Services, and complex IT requirements
- Build deep relationships with internal department heads and external vendors; negotiate contracts and monitor performance to ensure procurement supports specific roadmaps and broader business objectives
- Lead procurement for major facility initiatives, including modernizations, and the implementation of warehouse or office automation technologies
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT sourcing - from SaaS and cloud infrastructure to hardware and telecom - ensuring we have the best tools at the most competitive TCO
- Own the RFx process start-to-finish, including budget ownership, supplier identification, rigorous commercial negotiations, and contract finalization
- Continuously improve our procurement policies and tools to ensure compliance, transparency, data-driven cost-optimization and decision-making
What you'll need
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 4+ years in Indirect Procurement, ideally also with a proven track record managing supplier relationships in both IT and large-scale facility/CapEx projects
- A high level of commercial acumen with the ability to lead complex negotiations and manage multifaceted service level agreements
- The ability to juggle multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously without losing sight of the details or the deadlines
- Proficiency in spend analysis and the ability to use data to drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
- Fluent English is a must; German at a B2 level or higher is strongly preferred to navigate local vendor landscapes effectively
Nice to have
- Experience within process setups: ERP migration and P2P implementation
- Experience managing procurement for facility modernization, including maintenance contracts, machinery and automation
