About the role
As an Engineering Manager (m/f/d) at LIQID, you will lead and scale engineering teams that are democratizing access to wealth management solutions previously reserved for UHNW individuals. You will own the technical vision and execution for critical parts of our digital platform that manages over €3.5 billion in assets.
What you'll do
- Enable and empower your team by driving high-level technical, architectural and strategic decisions
- Align closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering Managers to define and execute the product roadmap
- Foster a high-performance engineering culture that values autonomy, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve scalability, developer experience, and delivery processes across teams
- Lead and develop engineers through regular feedback, career planning, mentoring and performance management
What you'll need
- You have 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years leading engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, preferably in fintech, digital banking, or investment platforms
- You bring deep expertise in building and scaling distributed systems, with hands-on experience in TypeScript/JavaScript or languages like Go, Python or Kotlin/Java
- You have architected and operated highly available, secure systems handling sensitive financial data with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure
- You understand modern frontend and backend architectures, having worked with frameworks like React, React Native, Node.js, or similar, and relational databases like PostgreSQL, or Redis
- You have a proven track record of building and mentoring diverse engineering teams, helping engineers grow from junior to senior levels while maintaining high technical standards
- You excel at technical communication, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and advocating for engineering needs at the leadership level
