About the role
You'll be a Signal Processing Engineer at Helsing, working on AI-based capabilities for defense applications. You'll develop state-of-the-art signal processing solutions for challenging environments including aerial and underwater scenarios, contributing to technology that protects democratic societies.
What you'll do
- Develop and extend state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms and deploy them in real-world scenarios
- Build in-house solutions for signal processing problems in aerial and underwater environments
- Collaborate across multiple teams and backgrounds on complex AI-based defense projects
- Research, implement and evaluate advanced AI systems with hardware constraints and robustness requirements
- Present research findings and technical solutions both internally and externally
What you'll need
- MSc in signal processing, machine learning, robotics, communication engineering or related field
- Experience conceptualizing, implementing and evaluating advanced AI-based systems
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and presenting research findings
- Passion for staying current with ML/AI research and implementing state-of-the-art solutions
- Solid software engineering skills in Python and/or Rust, Java, or modern C++
Nice to have
- PhD in relevant field with publications in top-tier journals and conferences
- Experience implementing signal processing algorithms, time frequency analysis, and parameter estimation
- Experience deploying AI software to production including testing, quality assurance, and monitoring
