People Business Partner (m/w/x)

About the role

We're seeking an enthusiastic People Business Partner to join our People team, working full-time with minimum 3 days per week at our Berlin HQ. You'll report to the Director of People & Culture and have autonomy to design programs, influence leadership, and build people-focused systems at a circular economy tech company.

What you'll do

• Act as strategic partner to leadership, providing coaching and guidance on organizational design, talent management, and team dynamics
• Take full ownership of HR lifecycle for your business areas, proactively identifying and bridging gaps
• Lead optimization of HRIS systems to ensure efficiency and serve as architect of HR systems
• Analyze turnover, engagement, and performance data to drive executive decision-making with people metrics
• Navigate complex employee relations and facilitate difficult conversations to reach optimal outcomes

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience as HR Business Partner in Germany, preferably in high-growth B2C tech or fast-paced startups
• Self-starter mentality who thrives with goal-setting freedom and doesn't need detailed instructions
• High emotional intelligence and resilience to challenge senior stakeholders and handle sensitive situations
• Tech-savvy with track record of implementing or optimizing HRIS systems (Personio, Workday, HiBob)
• Analytical mindset comfortable with spreadsheets, dashboards, and people data analysis
• Proactive problem-solving approach with ability to present multiple solutions
• Fluent English required; B2 German skills strongly preferred
