Technical Documentation Specialist

About the role

You will be responsible for creating and managing technical documentation that meets military standards for a defence AI company. This role involves preparing operating manuals, maintenance guides, and catalogues while ensuring compliance with military specifications and coordinating with engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Prepare and update technical documentation according to military specifications including operating manuals, maintenance guides, and parts catalogues
• Collect and analyze technical information from drawings, specifications, and schematics
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to ensure document accuracy and thoroughness
• Use specialized software like Adobe FrameMaker and MS Office to create and edit documents and illustrations
• Ensure all documentation complies with relevant industry and military standards
• Manage complete documentation projects from start to finish maintaining quality and consistency
• Facilitate digital integration and delivery of documentation to clients
• Coordinate documentation processes with external service providers while maintaining military specification compliance

What you'll need

• Technical vocational training or degree with experience in technical documentation and military standards
• Strong technical understanding and experience with ASD specifications such as S1000D, S2000M, or S3000L
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation software like Adobe FrameMaker, Photoshop, or Illustrator
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to understand and interpret complex technical drawings and datasets
• Effective communication skills with fluency in both German and English
• Self-motivated with capability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently

• Knowledge of ERP systems and database management
• Experience with military specifications
