About the role

As the Senior PM for Marketer Experience, you will drive this 0 to 1 evolution. You aren't just "adding a UI", you are driving the evolution of our product to turn our powerful technical engine into an intuitive, high-velocity tool that marketing teams love to use.

What you'll do

  • Drive the Pivot: Evolve a high-level strategic vision into a concrete product. You'll take the lead on making Contentful a "home" for marketers, ensuring the product stays powerful but becomes accessible.
  • Define the "Right" Enterprise Scope: You won't just build "simple" tools. You will deeply understand the needs of complex global enterprises and define a scope that is sophisticated enough for their scale, yet lean enough to ship and iterate quickly.
  • Obsess Over Usability: Quality for you is measured by how great, powerful, and easy-to-use the tools are for marketers, ensuring user autonomy. You win when a marketer can build and launch a complex global experience independently—without needing a developer for every change.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: You must collaborate effectively with other product and engineering teams. This project has high dependencies across the organization; success requires navigating the ecosystem.

What you'll need

  • 0→1 Experience: You've taken a product from "messy idea" to "polished reality" before. You thrive in ambiguity and create your own clarity.
  • The "Surgical" Scoper: You can demonstrate a track record of navigating complex requirements and distilling them into a clear, prioritized product definition that meets user needs.
  • Persona Empathy: You can speak deeply with a systems engineer about architecture, then turn around and advocate for a marketer's workflow with equal passion.
  • Grit: You have stories of pushing through setbacks and evolving a product based on real-world feedback.
  • Commercial Mindset: You can clearly tie customer problems and product solutions to business outcomes. You understand that solving a marketer's pain point is only a win if it also drives adoption, retention, and competitive advantage.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, including an executive presence, are necessary, with the expectation of confidently articulating product strategy in discussions with customers and sales teams.
