About the role
SumUp is looking for an Industrial Designer to join their Hardware team in Berlin, designing physical products like payment terminals, printers, and registers used by millions of small businesses worldwide. You'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and manufacturing partners to develop new devices and improve existing hardware products from concept through production.
What you'll do
- Design physical products and hardware devices from concept to production
- Create CAD models and prototypes for payment terminals, printers, and related peripherals
- Collaborate with product managers, electronics engineers, and manufacturing partners
- Work on continuous improvement of existing products across the hardware portfolio
- Participate in the full product development lifecycle including manufacturing processes
What you'll need
- Experience designing physical products or hardware devices
- Strong CAD skills with SolidWorks preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Interest in manufacturing and product development processes
- Hands-on approach to bringing physical products to life
