Freelance Senior Technical Project Manager - FSQA Processes & Systems

About the role

HelloFresh is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to drive process definition, standardization and improvement across Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) distribution center operations in 11 international markets. This maternity cover position runs until August/September 2026 and covers processes in DC Inbound, Inventory Management, Cold Chain Management, Shelf-Life Management, and Allergen Management.

What you'll do

• Manage, define, and standardize Food Safety and Quality processes across international markets, ensuring strong governance and consistent application
• Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into digital FSQ solutions and scalable processes
• Facilitate workshops to gather stakeholder input and drive alignment within the process governance agenda
• Test and verify that systems and tools meet defined requirements and comply with Food Safety policies before and during rollout
• Train end users and support successful rollout of new systems and processes across warehouse operations
• Measure process performance and adherence across markets, analyze data, and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership
• Identify improvement opportunities and define frameworks, metrics, and initiatives that enhance efficiency, resilience, and performance

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of experience in process consulting, process management, or technical systems implementation
• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Proven experience in process modeling (e.g. BPMN 2.0) and tools such as MS Visio, Signavio, or similar platforms
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and seniority levels
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Hands-on mindset with strong presentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite with excellent English communication skills

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Food Safety or warehouse processes
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, JIRA, ICS), SQL, digital procurement systems, or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in fast-paced, international and change-driven organizations
