Senior Sales Operations Business Partner - Retail

About the role

You'll join SumUp's Sales Operations team as a business partner to Retail commercial leadership, driving operational performance and sustainable growth. This role focuses on transforming Retail operations from tactical execution to structured, data-driven governance across European markets.

What you'll do

• Act as business partner to Retail channel leadership, driving operational performance and sustainable growth
• Translate commercial strategy into clear KPIs, governance frameworks, and scalable business rules
• Build robust business cases for process or system improvements and measure their impact on channel performance
• Drive key cross-functional initiatives to ensure channel growth and operations efficiency
• Partner with Product, Platform, Finance, and Analytics teams for accurate system implementation
• Identify execution gaps, surface risks early, and drive decision-making to remove blockers
• Own ways of working frameworks for Retail operations, continuously measuring impact and defining corrective actions

What you'll need

• Strong experience in Retail operations with understanding of retail sales cycles, field teams, and trade environments
• Advanced experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or commercial strategy roles
• Proven track record leading complex cross-functional projects and building business cases with ROI analysis
• Strong expertise with CRM systems like Salesforce and ERP systems like SAP
• Highly analytical with proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and SQL
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with senior commercial leaders
• Fluent English required

• German, Italian, and French language skills
• Experience with data visualization tools
